Vintage early 1900's complete 24 postcard booklet MUSEE ANTOINE WIERTZ BRUXELLES. Antoine Wiertz (1806-1865) was a Belgium romantic painter and sculptor - I've utilized all allowed pictures to show you a sampling of his work as well as condition - next to last picture shows the museum built by the Belgian State to house the painter's larger monumental works. In exchange, when Antoine Wiertz died, he left all his works to the Belgian State and his studio was also converted into a museum. Measurements/Details: Book measures 6" x 3 5/8" x 3/8" thick; in very good vintage used condition especially for it's age (see pictures) - a couple of light spots on front cover and paper cover edge slightly bent as wider than postcards; there are individual tissues to protect each postcard (3 tissues missing); each image has title and date of painting either on front or back of postcard (see Picture #3 for example on back), dates range 1830's-1860's; pictures are sepia and vary in tone; there are some incredible images I couldn't include as spine towards back has never been completely opened and wanted to leave in that very good vintage used condition. A wonderful addition to any art or postcard collection, what an amazing artist! Thank you for your interest.
