Leitz 50F Polarizing Microscope Condenser. This is the two-diaphragm, five lens dovetail mount polarizing condenser that shipped with a Leitz Dialux-Pol in the '50 s. In excellent mechanical and optical condition with unblemished polarizing foil. Could use a light CLA but nothing is gummed up or excessively dusty. In my experience, the extinction of this model is not superior to the 702f condenser that followed, but it covers a wider range of objectives, easily able to fully illuminate a 6.3X NPL Fluotar for example with the top lens up, when viewed by 10x GF periplan oculars. It does not accept filters, either, but the polarizer can be removed. It is very solidly constructed with beautiful machining and a heft that its successor lacks.
